HEAT Head Coach Pat Riley

On the game:
“It was a rather spirited game in the second half. I thought the second unit did a lot of good things. I didn’t get much out of the first unit at all, but it’s almost expected right now. When [James] Posey went down, nightmares began to flash in my brain. We just have to get ourselves healthy and ready. That’s all it’s about now.”

“We tried to get something out of it. We did work on some schemes. The defense was in the 80’s. We played the whole fourth quarter with a bunch of guys that really played hard and tried to do the right thing. It’s going to be more of a mental thing, just keep mentally focused on details and schemes. The coaches will get together, get the thought process ready for the playoffs, the offensive package we want to use, our defensive packages, and all that stuff.”

On James Posey:
“He probably won’t play Wednesday. He’s sore. It’s the same wrist and shoulder he hurt earlier in the year. He’ll be ready for the playoffs.”

On Doc River’s tenacity tonight:
“I’ve been there with 25 wins, 36 wins. I’ve been there when you’re not playing for anything but a lottery pick. It’s not much fun if you’re a competitive person. I think it’s important for his guys to feel some confidence. They came in and beat the World Champs. It’s somewhat of a feeling about going out in the season in a positive note. The Doc has always been a competitor.”

HEAT Center Shaquille O'Neal

On the game:
“One game left before the playoffs. We still have a lot of work to do to get ready. We’ll be ready; I’m confident that we will be ready.”

On James Posey’s injury:
“We don’t know the extent of his injury yet. Hopefully he’s OK.”

HEAT Guard Eddie Jones

On going into the post season:
“Right now, it’s all about getting it done. We are all focused in on trying to get something accomplished.”

HEAT Guard/Forward James Posey

On the injury:
“I was just going for a loose ball, and I was just trying to catch my fall. I jammed my wrist and the shoulder.”

“It is pretty much day-to-day for the most part. We’ll see how it feels. I just have to keep it in treatment and things like that.”

“You still go out there and play hard. Anything can happen on any night. It’s just unfortunate that it happened tonight in this case.”

HEAT Guard Dwyane Wade

On James Posey’s injury:
“It’s just something else. We just hope he gets better by the playoffs. It’s been like that for this team this year. He’s already had a bad left wrist, so the fall on that wrist and arm really hurt him.”

On his continued comeback from his shoulder injury:
“I felt pretty good. I’m glad I came back earlier. I’m going to get back into the groove of things. My conditioning feels good.”

On the end of the season:
“We know what we want to do as a team. One more game and we are into another season.”

On the game:
“It was a good game. It was a good game to watch t

Boston Celtics Head Coach Doc Rivers

On the game:
“Our guys were tired. I told our coaches in the first quarter that we were exhausted. I was just trying to get us into the fourth quarter. I thought our bench, to start the fourth, did a great job. It was a nice win for our guys. Even though they didn’t bring their guys back in, when their guys went out we were up so we felt good about the game no matter who played tonight. Clearly, Miami was trying to deny the catch in the post. They fronted the post and did a great job. Al (Jefferson) only took 13 shots which tells me they did a good job in denying.”

On Delonte West:
“He was great. He is just a tough guy who makes big shots and wants to take big shots.”

Celtics Forward Al Jefferson

On the last play:
“With a minute left in the game I felt like I needed touches. I was feeling it. I had hit my last two shots. I knew if I got the ball I was going to make something good happen. [Rajon] Rondo did a great job of finding me. Everything just took care of itself. This is the first shot that I hit to win the game since I have been in the NBA.”

“I think my teammates were patient in getting me the ball instead of making bad passes. We did a great job moving the ball. Delonte West got hot and the game got too tight to try and front me. They were going to have to help and leave shooters open. I knew they were going to get wore down and stay behind me.”

Celtics Guard Delonte West

On the game:
“I got back in the groove of things after we took a couple of off days. Last game I was real winded, so at the start of the game I was trying to get my legs behind me. In the first half, I shot a couple of air-balls. But in shoot-around I shot the ball well. I knew if they let us hang around it was going to be a good game in the second half.”

“This game was good for us. Our younger players got some game-time experience. These last couple of games has been going down to the wire, so anytime you can have that experience it only can help you. It is good for our confidence in general. With our rollercoaster season, it was good to end on a positive note.”
