GAME NOTES
-- The Hawks took care of
business at Philips Arena on Wednesday, handing the Pistons a 116-84
defeat.
-- Atlanta started the game on a 16-5 run and never slowed down on their
way to a 39-20 lead after one, the highest scoring quarter of the year.
-- The Hawks kept rolling in the second, pushing the lead to as many as
37, before settling for a 72-42 advantage at the break (highest scoring
half of the season) ... Atlanta's .622 FG% in the first half was also a
season-best.
-- All 12 available Hawks players scored in the opening 24 minutes, as
the bench accounted for 47 of the 72 points.
-- The lead was 96-61 after three and went up to 41 in the fourth.
-- Tracy McGrady's season-high 17 points paced Atlanta and Ivan Johnson
recorded a double-double (16 points\10 rebounds) ... Joe Johnson scored
13 and Josh Smith 12, while Marvin Williams and Willie Green had 10
apiece.
-- The Hawks reserves finished the night with a season-best 72 points.
-- Greg Monroe led Detroit with 17 points.
-- The Hawks are back in action on Friday vs. Boston at Philips Arena
(7pm on SportSouth HD, ESPN and 98.9 FM).
