SportSouth to Televise 75 Atlanta Hawks Games

ATLANTA, September 20, 2012 -
SportSouth today announced the network will televise 75 Atlanta Hawks games
throughout the 2012-13 NBA season, all in high definition. The Hawks 45th season
tips off on SportSouth on Friday, November 2 at Philips Arena against the
Houston Rockets at 7:30 p.m. ET. Following the season opener against the
Rockets, SportSouth’s Hawks package will continue with match ups against both
participants from the 2012 NBA Finals as the Hawks travel to Oklahoma City on
Sunday, November 4 to play the Western Conference champions, and conclude the
first week of competition at home against the NBA Champion Miami Heat on Friday,

Among other notable matchups on the SportSouth schedule, Atlanta will take on
the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday, March 3 in L.A. and Wednesday, March 13 in the
Lakers only Philips Arena appearance this season. SportSouth will carry all four
Hawks games against last year’s playoff opponents, the Boston Celtics (Saturday,
January 5 and Friday, January 25 at home and Friday, March 8 and Friday, March
29 on the road). In addition, the network will televise this year’s annual
Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday game at Philips Arena scheduled for Monday,
January 21 against the Minnesota Timberwolves at 2 p.m. In all, SportSouth will
have 35 games from Philips Arena and 40 road contests.

Former Atlanta Hawks star and Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Famer
Dominique Wilkins returns for his fifth straight season as the Hawks game
analyst with play-by-play announcer Bob Rathbun, entering his 17th season as the
voice of the Hawks. Jerome Jurenovich, in his fifth year at SportSouth, will
serve as the sideline reporter. Surrounding every game telecast, SportSouth will
televise a 30-minute Hawks LIVE pre-game show along with Hawks LIVE post-game
coverage, featuring interviews with players and coaches, game highlights from
around the NBA, and a look at the next opponent on the Hawks schedule. Veteran
NBA reporter Andre Aldridge returns for his second season as the host of Hawks
LIVE alongside analyst Mike Glenn.

Premiering on October 5 at 10:30 p.m. ET on FOX Sports South, DRIVEN: Danny
Ferry and the New Look Hawks will give fans an in depth season preview, as Bob
Rathbun sits down one on one with Hawks GM Danny Ferry, and discusses the major
offseason moves and how Ferry sees the team taking shape this season and in
years to come.

Viewers can look forward to an exciting season of Hawks basketball on SportSouth,
as Coach Larry Drew's team will look to return to postseason action for the
sixth straight season in 2012-13, and follow up on last year's second place
finish in the Southeast Division. Josh Smith, Al Horford, Jeff Teague and Zaza
Pachulia highlight the returnees, while new Hawks Devin Harris and Lou Williams
bring additional speed and depth to the backcourt, and Kyle Korver, Anthony
Morrow and rookie John Jenkins add tremendous outside firepower.
