Schröder Scores 23 Points In Scrimmage

Dennis Schröder appears to be getting more comfortable playing with the German national team.

A day after scoring seven points and dishing out seven assists off the bench, Schröder appears to be settling in nicely.  He scored 23 points in a "scrimmage" against Finland Monday.  The two teams played five 10-minute 'quarters' in what was described as "oppressive heat" in the arena.

Germany beat Finland in an official exhibition 74-67 on Sunday, where heat was also an issue.

Schröder is coming off a strong Summer League with the Hawks, averaging 15.7 points in six games.

Finland is prepping for the FIBA World Cup in Spain in September.  Meanwhile, Germany is set to tip off its 2015 EuroBasket qualifying on Aug. 10.  They will play Poland, Austria and Luxembourg twice each in the group play round and must finish at least second in their group to have a chance at advancing.
