Phil Ebinger is Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer for
the Atlanta Hawks and Philips Arena. In his current role, Ebinger is responsible for all finance and accounting related to the team and business operations of the Hawks and Philips Arena, as well as the Hawks Foundation.
Prior to his appointment as Vice President of Finance in December 2004, Ebinger held controllership positions at The Coca-Cola Company and served as Chief Financial Officer of Fitzgerald & Co, an Atlanta advertising agency that is part of the Interpublic Group of Companies. While at Coca-Cola, Ebinger was responsible for all financial matters relating to sports and entertainment marketing, advertising and media spending for the North America division.
Originally from Columbus, Ohio, Phil grew up in Atlanta and attended Marist School before signing with Duke University on a football scholarship where he was named All-ACC twice and All-America following his senior season. Following graduation from Duke, Phil received an MBA in Finance from the University of Chicago and then began his financial career with Ryder System, Inc. in Miami, Florida.
Phil is actively involved in Marist School alumni and parent volunteer activities, and has served on the board of the Cowart Family Ashford Dunwoody YMCA and the pastoral council of Our Lady of the Assumption Church. He and his wife, Beth, reside in Atlanta and have three sons
