Rookie suffered injury during game against Celtics Friday.

ATLANTA -- During the second quarter of the Hawks game at Boston Friday night, Hawks guard John Jenkins suffered a mild concussion after being picked by the Celtics’ Paul Pierce. He immediately experienced a headache and dizziness and Boston’s Team Physicians diagnosed the concussion. Jenkins was evaluated prior to Saturday’s game at Philips Arena by Hawks Team Physician Dr. Scott Kleber of the Laureate Medical Group, who confirmed the diagnosis. There is no timeline for his return to play, and his status will be updated as appropriate as he now begins the NBA’s league mandated concussion protocol.
