Hawks To Team With Homegrown Star Rich Homie Quan For Blockbuster Opening Night

ATLANTA -- The Atlanta Hawks will open the 2015-16 regular season at Philips Arena on Oct. 27 against the Detroit Pistons, and for the second consecutive season, the club has enlisted an Atlanta-based hip-hop star to enhance the opening night celebration. Atlanta’s own Rich Homie Quan will perform on multiple occasions at the Hawks’ opener, taking the stage with a surprise guest on the arena’s newly-designed floor during halftime and postgame performances. Tickets are available by clicking here.

“The Hawks have made Oct. 27 a can't-miss event and I'm super excited to be the headline performer,” said Rich Homie Quan. “I think it's great how the Hawks combine music and sports to give Atlanta fans a unique entertainment experience, and I can’t wait to hit the floor on Opening Night when we take on the Pistons.”

Fans in attendance will have an opportunity to purchase new team merchandise from Hawks Shop, and all guests will receive a free Opening Night t-shirt courtesy of Kia Motors. The “Hudson Grille Hawks Night Out” ticket promotion, offered for all Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday home games this season, is available for the season opener while supplies last and features four game tickets and four $10 Hudson Grille vouchers, starting at $99.

“We remain committed to bringing our fans an experience unlike any other in the NBA,” said Hawks CEO Steve Koonin. “Partnering with Rich Homie Quan to bring more hometown energy into our building is exciting, and another example of our promise to stay ‘True to Atlanta.’”

Hawks tickets are on sale now and available by visiting www.hawks.com/tickets, calling 1-866-715-1500, or visiting the Philips Arena Box Office or any Ticketmaster outlet.
