Vice President of Brand Strategy and Corporate Communications
Ailey Penningroth is Vice President of Brand Strategy and Corporate Communications for the Atlanta Hawks and Philips Arena. In her current role, Penningroth is responsible for spearheading the organization’s continuous efforts to improve the operational infrastructure of systems, processes and personnel designed to drive brand awareness, loyalty and sales. She oversees the company’s internal corporate communications and external business publicity, its community development outreach initiatives and its human resources function. In addition she is responsible for the Hawks’ and Philips Arena’s websites and their interactive, database and email marketing efforts.
Penningroth came to the Hawks and Philips Arena in March 2004 as Vice President of Strategic Planning/Special Assistant to the President & CEO, from the National Basketball Association (NBA) where she most recently served as the Director of WNBA Fan Development. Penningroth joined the NBA league office in 1997 and worked during her tenure in NBA and WNBA team marketing and business operations.
Originally from Princeton, New Jersey, Penningroth graduated from Harvard University and currently lives in Atlanta.
