  • Tyronn Lue Player Profile

Tyronn Lue was acquired by the Hawks on Dec. 23 in a straight up trade for Jon Barry. The diminutive Lue has carved a reputation in his seven years in the league as an energetic defender and a player who can push the tempo, and already his addition to the team has been felt: he has averaged 10.5 points and five assists in his first two games in a Hawks uniform.

Lue has played for five teams in his tenure in the league, including winning a title with the L.A. Lakers in 2001. Last season he started 69 games for the Orlando Magic, averaging a career-best 10.5 ppg and 4.2 apg.

Hawks.com had a chance to catch up to the newest member of the team on Wednesday for a couple minutes.
