SportSouth to Televise 65 Atlanta Hawks Games
Broadcast Team of Bob Rathbun and Dominique Wilkins Returns
Andre Aldridge Joins Mike Glenn on HAWKS LIVE Pre- and Post-Game Shows

ATLANTA, GA (December 13, 2011) - SportSouth today announced the network will televise 65 Atlanta Hawks games throughout the 2011-12 NBA season, all in high definition. The Hawks season tips off on SportSouth with the season opener December 27 at 7:30 p.m. ET at the New Jersey Nets. SportSouth will call Atlanta’s first home game of the year, December 28, when the Hawks host the division-rival Washington Wizards at 7:30 p.m. ET. SportSouth’s Hawks package will include all three games against the team’s 2010-11 NBA Playoffs first-round foe Orlando Magic (February 10, February 23 and April 13), three games against the defending Eastern Conference Champion Miami Heat (January 2, February 12 and March 7) and the Hawks’ only game against the NBA Champion Dallas Mavericks in the regular season finale on April 26 at 8 p.m. ET. In addition, the network will also televise this year’s annual Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday game scheduled for Monday, January 16 against the Toronto Raptors at 4 p.m. ET. In all, SportSouth will have 32 games from Philips Arena and 33 road contests.

Former Atlanta Hawks star and Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Famer Dominique Wilkins returns for his fourth straight season as the Hawks game analyst with play-by-play announcer Bob Rathbun, entering his 16th season as the voice of the Hawks. Jerome Jurenovich, in his fourth year at SportSouth, will serve as the sideline reporter. Surrounding every game telecast, SportSouth will televise a 30-minute Hawks LIVE pre-game show along with Hawks LIVE post-game coverage, featuring interviews with players and coaches, game highlights from around the NBA, and a look at the next opponent on the Hawks schedule. Veteran NBA reporter Andre Aldridge makes his debut as the host of Hawks LIVE alongside analyst Mike Glenn.

Hawks games on SportSouth are available in Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi (excluding the Biloxi/Gulfport, Memphis and New Orleans DMAs), Tennessee (excluding the Memphis and Jackson DMAs), the Charleston, Augusta and Savannah DMA of South Carolina, the counties of Graham, Jackson, Macon and Swain in the Greenville-Spartanburg DMA of North Carolina, and the counties of Abbeville, Anderson and Oconee in Greenville-Spartanburg DMA.
