Statement Regarding Former Rockets Player Jason Collier

Rockets General Manager Carroll Dawson:

“The entire Rockets organization is shocked and deeply saddened at the news of Jason’s death. Jason was a tremendous young man who worked very hard to become a solid player in this league. While he was with our organization, he consistently gave everything he had on the basketball court. He had a great, easygoing personality and was one of the nicest young men you’d ever want to meet. Our deepest sympathies go out to his wife Katie, daughter Ella, and his entire family.”
