Hawks Check It Out Reading Challenge

Do you enjoy getting lost in a good book and learning about exciting adventures? Are you a fan of the Atlanta Thrashers and Atlanta Hawks? Earn basketball- and hockey-related rewards while reading this summer!

In partnership with the Georgia Public Library Service, the Atlanta Thrashers and Atlanta Hawks will challenge young readers within the Cobb County and Atlanta-Fulton County Library Systems to spend more of their free time exercising their minds by reading this summer. Young readers will be challenged to check out and read (or be read to) books of their choice over a course of eight weeks and record the book titles on a scorecard. This reading initiative targets young readers entering classes between Pre-K and Grade 12 for the 2005-06 school year.

All participants will receive the following hockey- and basketball- related rewards:

The Atlanta Thrashers/Atlanta Hawks Check-it-Out Reading Challenge will begin on June 6 and end on August 1, 2005. Please visit your local library today to pick up a Check-it-Out Reading Challenge scorecard to get involved!

*Vouchers will be good for two free tickets to each of one Atlanta Thrashers home game and one Atlanta Hawks home game during the 2005-06 season. Game dates to be determined and are subject to availability. Games may be exchanged for other events at the discretion of Atlanta Spirit, LLC. Limit one set of rewards per participant.
