- Williams and Johnson accounted for 11 and 10 points in the third period as the Hawks cut the margin to three entering the final quarter, 77-74.

Photo Of The Night

It has become a familiar scene at the Highlight Factory... Al Horford with an emphatic finish.
What
You Really Need To Know
The Hawks rallied from a double-digit first-half deficit and battled the Sixers the entire second half but were unable to get key stops down the stretch. Andre Miller and Andre Iguodala had 17 and 18 second half points respectively, offsetting a 24 point second-half effort by Joe Johnson.
Fantasy MVP: Marvin Williams & Josh Childress
The duo combined for 39 points and shot 70% (14 of 20) from the field. Marvin added six rebounds, two assists and a steal, while J-Chill had 4 boards, two assists, two blocks and also was 2 for 3 from behind the arc. This is the second time in three games that Josh has scored 20 points off the bench.
Momentum Changer
Trailing 93-91 with just under four minutes remaining, the Hawks went cold, allowing the Sixers to score six unanswered points and extend their lead to 99-91. The Hawks could get no closer than three points the rest of the way.
What Went Right
- Standing Strong. The Hawks withstood porr first period shooting and an early run by the Sixers to keep the game close by halftime and eventually take the lead in the third quarter.
- Bibby's Playmaking. While he only finished with 3 points, Mike Bibby had eleven assists and recorded a +3 rating for the evening.
- Childress. Josh has played continues to play well against the Sixers as he finished with an amazingly efficient 20 points on just 10 field goal attempts.
What Could Have Gone Better
- Big Stops. The Hawks defense couldn't come up with the big stops in the fourth quarter that would have enabled them to erase Philly's advantage.
- Bibby's Shot. While he played a solid game overall (see above), Mike had a tough night shooting. He finished 1 for 11 from the field.
Quote of the Night

“We’re
confident. We feel good about ourselves. We feel like the sky’s the limit for
this team. And we’re coming into every game with confidence.”
-- Hawks F Josh Smith, on the team's five-game winning streak
