The Atlanta Hawks are starting to prepare for the 2006-07 season, and the first thing on the agenda is the 2006 NBA Draft, held on Wednesday, June 28 at 7:00 on ESPN. With the #5 overall pick and the third pick in the second round (#33), the Hawks currently have two chances to upgrade their roster.
Be sure to check back as we keep you posted on all of the players who come through town to work out as we lead up to the draft proceedings at the Theater at Madison Square Garden.

(a) Gasol was traded on draft night to the Vancouver (Memphis) Grizzlies,
along with Brevin Knight and Lorenzen Wright, in exchange for Shareef
Abdur-Rahim and the 27th pick in the draft
(b) Atlanta traded the draft rights to Tinsley to the Indiana Pacers for a
future first-round selection. Vancouver chose Tinsley on behalf of Atlanta as
part of a trade agreement.
(c) On draft night, Jones’ draft rights were traded to the Philadelphia 76ers
for a future first-round pick (via Toronto).
