ATLANTA, GA (Sept. 26, 2008) -- The Atlanta Hawks shoot for a return to the playoffs with the start of training camp next Tuesday (September 30) on the practice court at Philips Arena. Head coach Mike Woodson welcomes 18 players, highlighted by returning two-time All-Star Joe Johnson, fellow starters Josh Smith, Mike Bibby, Marvin Williams and All-Rookie center Al Horford, and free agent newcomers Maurice Evans and Flip Murray.

“We are excited about getting things started,” said Woodson. “The way we ended our season left us wanting more as an organization, and I know the players have worked hard this summer to do everything possible to improve on what we accomplish last year.”
