ATLANTA -- Mike Scott received a follow-up examination to his injured left great toe in Atlanta at Peachtree Orthopaedics earlier this week. During his examination, a CT scan was performed which revealed that Scott does not have an acute fracture to his sesamoid, but rather a bipartite sesamoid and acute sprain to his great toe. The results were read by Dr. Michael Bernot and Dr. James Beskin of Peachtree Orthopaedics and also confirmed by Dr. Richard Ferkel of the Southern California Orthopedic Institute. The expected recovery time is approximately two-to-four weeks and his status will be updated as appropriate.
“The health and care of all of our players is extremely important to us and Mike is a big part of our group. We conducted additional testing and also recommended that Mike get an independent second opinion. We are pleased with the additional opinion and information and look forward to having Mike back when he completes his rehabilitation,” Head Coach Mike Budenholzer said.
