At the age of 22, Thabo became the first Swiss player to join the NBA.
Sefolosha began an after school basketball program in Mamelodi, the same township where his father grew up in South Africa. Its goal is to engage children with sports as a way to teach them not only life skills but how to work hard to achieve success as well.
Thabo stands at 6’7” with a wingspan of 7’2”. Yup, you read that correctly - SEVEN TWO!
Thabo's name, inspired by a South African dialect, means "the one who brings joy".
Thabo lists a somewhat unconventional dessert as his favorite... Meringue; a dessert made with whipped egg whites and sugar. Sounds good to us!
Sefolosha enjoys listening to House music and his favorite musicians are DJ Cleo and Ganyani.
Thabo is from a city named Vevey, in Switzerland, the same city where the headquarters of Nestlé and Häagen-Dasz are located.
Sefolosha first played for professional teams in Switzerland, France, and Italy before being drafted at the 13th spot in 2006 by the Philadelphia 76ers.
