Honorable Mention
Joe Johnson - 26 pts, 7 ast, 5 reb

-Deja Vu? Different Saturday, same story. The Hawks used the same pattern that worked in last week's 125-100 win over Denver in tonight's win over New Orleans. A big first quarter established a lead that slowly grew until a minor stall in the second half let the visiting team get close. Then let the go-to guys kick it into gear. A six point lead grew to 21 in less than four minutes of action in the fourth quarter thanks to a 15-0 spurt.

-Josh Smith had 11 rebounds at halftime and set a new Hawks season-high with 17 for the game. He was very active from the opening tip and had the Hornets out of rythm on the offensive end.

-Good win on a night where it would have been easy to overlook a struggling New Orleans squad.

-I could get used to the intro to that first bullet point (above). "The Southeast Division-leading Atlanta Hawks"
