Atlanta Hawks Read to Achieve

Read to Achieve (RTA) is a year-round program developed by the NBA and NBA Players Association to help young people develop a life-long love for reading. Reaching millions of children worldwide, RTA is supported by all 29 NBA teams, 16 WNBA teams, and 8 National Basketball Development League (NBDL) teams. With additional backing for the NBA's Officials, Parents and Wives of Players Organizations, and the NBA Players Association and Retired Players Association. Read to Achieve is sponsored by Philips Electronics and Sprite.

Through this program, the Atlanta Hawks have created a local All-Star Reading Team!

Read Along With the Hawks

READ TO ACHIEVE PLEDGE Reading is fun and books are cool too, I will read a book daily to learn something new. I will learn different words and I will listen in school, when teachers read stories and share reading rules. I will practice my skills in every way, reading is something I will do every day. Reading offers great adventures to me, reading will help me be the best I can be.
