HAWKSGIVING 2011

The Atlanta Hawks recently teamed with the United Way to serve a Thanksgiving meal to 300 individuals at Meadowcreek High School, located within United Way’s Gwinnett County Opportunity Zone. The food was provided courtesy of Levy Cares.

"For the Atlanta Hawks, continuing our long-standing partnership with United Way to positively impact the lives of members of our community is an honor," said Bob Williams, president, Atlanta Hawks and Philips Arena. "Like United Way of Metropolitan Atlanta, the Atlanta Hawks continually strive to find ways to serve those in our area to help make Atlanta a healthier and happier place to live, work and play."

Hawks' volunteers included the Hawks' coaching staff, Atlanta Hawks Alumni Tom Gugliotta, Atlanta Hawks and Philips Arena President Bob Williams, Co-Owner of the Atlanta Hawks and Philips Arena operating rights, Michael Gearon and United Way of Metropolitan Atlanta President Milton J. Little, Jr.
