Foundation Grants
The Atlanta Hawks Foundation takes pride in giving back to communities where our fans live, work and play. One way that we support these neighborhoods is through the Foundation's grant program. To make a meaningful impact, the Foundation has chosen to support the following three focus areas:
1. Education – This grant is awarded to a non-profit that is using innovative methods and programs to educate Georgia’s youth.
2. Health & Wellness – In an effort to help reduce childhood obesity, this grant will be awarded to a non-profit organization helping kids develop an active lifestyle and/or healthy eating habits.
3. Recreation – This grant is awarded to a non-profit organization dedicated to engaging youth in athletics and other physical fitness activities.
Since the Atlanta Hawks Foundation receives funding requests far in excess of its budget, worthy causes may be declined when even when the request falls into one of the three focus areas. The Foundation will be accepting grant applications starting February 1, 2010. All applications must be received by March 31, 2010. Award notifications will be made in June.

HAWKS HOST 2009 FULL COURT FEST

The Atlanta Hawks Full Court Fest in February was one of the hottest events of the year where fans had the chance to go head-to-head with their favorite players and coaches in games including blackjack, poker, ping pong and X-Box. The evening also featured an elegant dinner music, raffle and silent auction, with all proceeds benefitting the Atlanta Hawks Foundation. Highlights of the night included Marvin Williams taking on fans (and winning) in ping pong, Joe Johnson demonstrating his skills at the poker table and an autographed photo of Zaza Pachulia battling Kevin Garnett during last year’s playoffs. Platinum event sponsors were Philips and Sprite.
