Press Pass Program Winners Honored
At halftime of the Hawks game on April 17 against the New York Knicks, Press
Pass Program sponsor FSN South spotlighted the inaugural season of the
Atlanta Hawks Press Pass Program, a year-long initiative in
partnership with the Georgia Scholastic Press Association and Atlanta Sports &
Fitness Magazine, which allowed high school students with interest in pursuing a
career in print and broadcast journalism the opportunity to attend a Hawks game
and serve as members of the media. Fourteen students from 11 metro Atlanta high
schools participated in the program and conducted interviews with players,
coaches and various media members, in addition to getting a behind-the-scenes
look at the world of sports journalism.
