HONORS / AWARDS:
- 1992 NBA All-Star
- 1992 All-NBA, Third Team
- Willis' 1,424 NBA games played ranks 5th all-time

Kevin Willis was drafted 11th overall by Atlanta in the 1984 NBA Draft, beginning a 22-year career that included 12 seasons with the Hawks.

In the late-80's and early-90's Willis teamed with Dominique Wilkins, Spud Webb and Doc Rivers to make regular trips to the postseason. His best season came in 1991-92 when he averaged 18.3 points and 15.5 rebounds per contest while being named to the All-Star team and to the All-NBA, third team. Only Bob Pettit has had seasons in a Hawks uniform when he pulled down more than Kevin's 1,258 that year. Willis' 418 offensive rebounds that season still stands as a Hawks' franchise record.

Early in the 1994 season Willis was traded to the Miami Heat. After stints with Miami, Golden State, Houston, Toronto, Denver and San Antonio (where he was part of the 2003 NBA Championship team), Kevin returned to Atlanta in 2004 at the age of 42 for one last season as a Hawk. He signed with the Dallas Mavericks near the end of the 2006-07 season and appeared in five games, making him the oldest player (44) to play more than one game in an NBA season.

Willis currently resides in Atlanta where he runs Willis & Walker, a clothing company he founded with Ralph Walker, a former teammate at Michigan State. The business focuses on providing clothing for men 6'2" and taller. (More Info on Willis & Walker: Twitter | Facebook)
