Mike Joiner is a retired Atlanta businessman who has selflessly given over 400 hours per year for the past 5 years to support LaAmistad and its mission to help Latino and first-generation families excel in school and life.
Kate is the founder of Kate’s Club, the only organization in metro Atlanta that provides long-term therapeutic and recreational support for grieving children.
This 8th grader started an anti-bullying campaign at his school and is president of the Interact Club, a community service group. He also volunteers for the North Fulton Community Charities, where he is currently conducting a food drive and helping raise money.
During 12 years in the Army, Sgt. Major Evans conducted three combat tours in Afghanistan and two tours in Iraq, receiving four bronze stars and a combat action badge. He also created a morale building program for nearly 500 soldiers in metro Atlanta.
Shanti Das started No Reservations Needed, partnering with Atlanta Mission to feed the homeless during Thanksgiving. She also holds a holiday toy drive, toiletry drive for homeless mothers, and raises money for Sisters of Today and Tomorrow mentoring organization.
