| The Atlanta Hawks
received more than 200 submission for this year's "I Was Born This Way"
themed Poetry Slam competition. Fifteen students from 10 different
schools in eight different counties throughout Georgia were selected to
present their poems on March 22, 2012 at The Hard Rock Cafe in downtown
Atlanta. Atlanta Hawks Guard, Willie Green, was one of four judges who ultimately picked Malcolm McLachlan to place first, Morgan Ritson to place second and Cinnamon Williams to place third. All other finalists included: Shirah Stewart, William Johnson, Kami Rose, Andrea Vargas, Aurielle Lucier, Patrick Pietrzak, Amari Parham, Tyler Grissom, Haris Aslam and Ellen Husted. |
