Grizzlies fall to Miami in final preseason matchup

The Miami Heat defeated the Memphis Grizzlies, 104-98, Friday at FedExForum, ending the Grizzlies’ preseason slate at 3-5. The Heat finished with an even 4-4 preseason record.

Miami finished the game shooting .543 (38-of-70 FG) from the field and .952 (20-of-21 FT) from the charity stripe. The Heat led 84-71 at the end of the third quarter as the Grizzlies stormed back in the fourth quarter to cut the lead to three points (94-91) with 4:22 remaining in the period. The Heat led the game the entirety of the second half with their biggest lead coming at the beginning of the fourth quarter (17), proving to be the deciding factor in the game.

Chris Bosh led the Heat with 21 points on 8-of-14 shooting and hauled in six rebounds. Dwyane Wade added 16 points in 24 minutes.

Jon Leuer recorded a preseason-high 21 points on 8-of-15 shooting in 25 minutes of play. Leuer has scored in double-digits in four of his eight preseason appearances.

Vince Carter (5-8 FG) and Zach Randolph (6-11 FG) both added preseason-highs of 13 and 12 points, respectively.
