Memphis, June 11, 2012 – Michael E. Heisley, the majority owner of the Memphis Grizzlies, announced today an agreement for the sale of the franchise to an entity owned by Robert J. Pera.  Robert J. Pera is the founder and CEO of Ubiquiti Networks, a publicly-traded next-generation communications technology company.  The sale transaction is subject to approval by the NBA Board of Governors, antitrust clearance and other conditions.

Memphis, June 4, 2012– The Memphis Grizzlies announced today that the Memphis Grizzlies Preparatory Charter School (Grizzlies Prep) has been approved by the Unified School Board and will open its doors on Monday, July 30. Grizzlies Prep is a new public middle school for boys, starting with 75 sixth graders this fall and adding a grade per year until it goes through eighth grade. It will operate in Downtown Memphis (168 Jefferson Avenue). This new charter school will prepare all students to excel academically and demonstrate integrity.

MEMPHIS, May 24, 2012– The Grizzlies will be among the record 24 teams competing at the 2012 NBA Summer League in Las Vegas, the NBA announced today. This marks the fifth time (2007-10, 2012) that Memphis will compete in the event.

From July 13-22, a total of 23 NBA teams, featuring 11 participants from the 2012 NBA Playoffs, as well as a team of NBA D-League Select players will compete at the Thomas & Mack Center and the COX Pavilion on the campus of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
