Memphis, February 28, 2012 – The Memphis Grizzlies Charitable Foundation and the Soulsville Foundation today announced that Staxtacular 2012, the largest fundraiser of the year for the Stax Music Academy, surpassed all past records in attendance and money raised. The crowd of guests during the February 11, 2012 event was at capacity at almost 500 people, and the event raised approximately $120,000 from sponsorships, ticket sales, and online, silent and live auctions.

Memphis, February 28, 2012 – In celebration of Black History Month, Memphis Grizzlies’ players Tony Allen, Hamed Haddadi, Marreese Speights and Sam Young will tour the National Civil Rights Museum with Memphis-area youth on Tuesday. In addition to the museum tour, the Grizzlies’ players will speak to the youth from the Ira Samelson, Jr. Boys and Girls Club about setting goals, their personal challenges that they overcame and how they accomplished their goal of playing in the NBA.

MEMPHIS, February 27, 2012 – The Memphis Grizzlies recalled guard Josh Selby from the Reno Bighorns, the team’s NBA Development League affiliate, Grizzlies General Manager and Vice President of Basketball Operations Chris Wallace announced today.

Selby (6-2, 183) saw action in four games with the Bighorns, including one start, and averaged 21.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.25 steals in 31.0 minutes. He shot .483 from the field, .500 from three-point territory and .714 from the free throw line.
