On the 2003 Draft
"You should not just assume that we just have the 13th pick. We might have trades, all kinds of things could happen. We don't want to not bring a guy in because he might be 15 and we have 13. We want to look at all the guys we can look at."

"We felt like Toris (Bright) has played excellent defense. He has asthma and today it bothered him. We wanted to look at the big guys (Rick Rickert and Britton Johnsen). Tick is a young, raw-boned talent who is extremely skilled. We have seen Reece (Gaines) a couple of times. We wanted to look at a big guard. He may be a prime candidate for the 13th pick."

"Reece is a combo guard, that is hard to find. He can play the one and two (position). He played for a great coach (Rick Pitino) and has played in all kinds of pressure situations so that is a plus."
