Grizzlies Training Camp set

Fans invited to check out the 2012-13 team at Open Practice on October 13 at 1pm.

MEMPHIS, October 1, 2012 – The Grizzlies will once again hold training camp at the Coventry Health Care Practice Facility at FedExForum from Oct. 2-5. 

This year marks the ninth time since relocating from Vancouver in 2001 that the Grizzlies have held training camp in Memphis.  The team traveled to Birmingham, Ala. in 2009 and has also held camp in Malaga, Spain (2007) and Barcelona, Spain (2003) as part of the NBA Europe Live Tour.

The Grizzlies, following their most successful regular season in franchise history, will tip-off their 12thseason in Memphis with a full eight-game preseason slate, beginning at home at FedExForum on Saturday, October 6 against international power Real Madrid.  Memphis opens its regular season on Wednesday, October 31 in Los Angeles against the Clippers, before returning home to FedExForum to host the Utah Jazz in the home opener on Monday, November 5 at 7 p.m.

The Grizz are set to open their doors and give fans a look at the 2012-13 Grizzlies as they take the FedExForum floor at a free Open Practice on Saturday, Oct. 13 at 1 p.m.
