TN State Senate and City of Memphis gear up for Western Conference Semifinals

Grizz Nation can pick up free headbands tomorrow at FedExForum

MEMPHIS, May 5, 2011 – If there’s one thing local Republicans and Democrats alike can agree upon, it’s their collective belief in the Memphis Grizzlies during the 2011 NBA Playoffs. As the Western Conference Semifinals shift to Memphis for Games 3 and 4, the Tennessee State Senate showed its support for the Grizzlies by outfitting each member of the Senate with a yellow ‘Believe Memphis’ Grizzlies headband while in session today.

Grizzlies fans have the opportunity to pick up their own free ‘Believe Memphis’ headbands, along with window clings and more, by stopping by the FedExForum Grand Plaza tomorrow, Friday, May 6 from 9 a.m.-7 p.m. as the Grizzlies and Citadel Radio Group help Memphis gear up for the Second Round. Grizz fans will also be able to sign up for Grizzlies E-News and check out available 2011-12 Season Ticket seat locations. Members of Grizz Nation can purchase a new stock of Playoff merchandise at the Grizzlies Team Store during extended Playoff hours of 10 a.m.-6 p.m., Monday through Saturday.

On the eve of the first Western Conference Semifinals game in Memphis in franchise history, the Grizzlies will be joined at FedExForum Friday by live broadcasts of Soul Classics 103.5’s Downtown Jackson Brown from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. and Kix 106’s Memphis Mark and 98.1 The Max’s Danni from 3-7 p.m.
