Grizzlies single game tickets for second half of season on sale January 9

Presale to take place for E-News subscribers, fans and followers of the Grizzlies on Facebook, Twitter and G+

MEMPHIS, TN December 28, 2012 — The Memphis Grizzlies today announced that single game tickets for the second half of the 2012-13 NBA Season will go on sale Wednesday, Jan. 9 at 10 a.m.

All tickets for the remainder of the season, starting with the Grizzlies contest against Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers on Jan. 23 will be available for purchase at all Ticketmaster locations, ticketmaster.com, the FedExForum Box Office, by phone at (800) 4NBA-TIX or online at grizzlies.com.

Grizzlies fans who want to be the first to purchase Single Game Tickets for the second half of the 2012-13 season can sign up for Grizzlies E-News, follow on Twitter (@memgrizz), like on Facebook or circle on Google+ by noon Friday, Jan. 4 and receive the opportunity to buy tickets before they go on sale to the public during a presale on Tuesday, Jan. 8.

Fans that purchase single game tickets during the second half of the season will also have the opportunity to take home some grizztacular promotional items. The first 5,000 fans on Friday, Jan. 25 that arrive to see the Grizzlies take on Deron Williams and the Brooklyn Nets will receive a Grizzlies hat. Mercury Printing will provide sets of Grizzlies Valentine’s Day Cards for that special Grizzlies fan to the first 5,000 in attendance on Friday, Feb. 8 against Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors.

Beloved mascot Grizz will be joined by some of his furry friends from around the league for Grizz’s Birthday Party on Sunday, Feb. 10 against Kevin Love and the Minnesota Timberwolves, and the team will celebrate by passing out Grizzlies backpacks to the first 5,000 fans. Grizz will also be treating the first 3,000 fans in attendance to a Grizz bobble head, presented by Wendy’s, on Saturday, March 9 against the New Orleans Hornets.

Fans will also have the chance to show off their creativity and city pride, as the Grizzlies will select fan art to produce special “Made In Memphis” T-shirts to be given to the first 5,000 in attendance on Feb. 22 against the Orlando Magic and March 20 against Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder. More details on the T-shirts will be made available on grizzlies.com at a later date.

The Grizzlies will also be bringing back their popular Faith and Family and Gospel Nights during the second half of the season, giving fans a chance to enjoy their hometown Memphis Grizzlies and then stick around for a postgame concert.  Faith and Family Night will be held on Jan. 18 against the Sacramento Kings, and will feature a postgame concert by Daddy Big Weave. Tickets are currently on sale for Faith and Family Night. Gospel Night on Friday, Feb. 22 vs. Orlando will provide fans a joyous night of basketball and music, featuring a post-game concert by gospel artist Hezekiah Walker.

Grizzlies’ fans will once again have a chance to wave their team’s colors if they are one of the first 10,000 in attendance to grab a rally flag on March 23 against the Boston Celtics, presented by SportSouth. The team will also distribute a series of player cards presented by Mercury Printing to the first 5,000 fans on Friday, March 29 against James Harden and the Houston Rockets.  

The Grizzlies Go Green Expo and Tour de Grizz bike ride will highlight the team’s April 13 tilt with the Los Angeles Clippers before the giveaway schedule concludes with a Grizzlies T-shirt, presented by First Tennessee, to the first 5,000 fans in attendance for Fan Appreciation Night on April 17 against the Utah Jazz, as the team wraps up the regular season.

“Grizz Night Out,” presented by Budweiser, will continue to invite fans to grab some Buds and catch one of the remaining following Grizzlies contests at FedExForum: Jan. 25 vs. Brooklyn and Feb. 27 vs. Dallas.  Starting at just $25, fans will receive a Grizzlies ticket, a Grizzlies hat and a 16-ounce beer.

The chance to see great Grizzlies action for less does not stop there, as the Grizzlies will continue to offer “2 for Tuesdays,” giving Grizzlies fans the opportunity to get two tickets for the price of one in the Terrace I, II, III and First Tennessee Club Levels while supplies last. Remaining Tuesday night games of the 2012-13 season include Feb. 5 vs. Phoenix, Feb. 12 vs. Sacramento and April 9 vs. Charlotte.

The savings continue with the Pepsi Family Plans. Starting at $56, families can receive four tickets, four hot dogs, four Pepsi fountain drinks and four Grizzlies rally flags for the following four home games: Feb. 8 vs. Golden State and March 29 vs. Houston 

Fans also can take advantage of Group Value Games and book a group of 20 or more for special group pricing for the following games: Feb. 10 vs. Minnesota, March 29 vs. Houston and April 17 vs. Utah.
