Warriors hand Grizzlies tough loss at home

The Memphis Grizzlies fell to the Golden State Warriors in a 107-84 decision Friday night at FedExForum. The Warriors won their 25th road game, making franchise history, and tied the 1975-76 Warriors for most wins in a single season (59). The Grizzlies fell to 27-9 at home, including a 16-7 record against Western Conference opponents.

Stephen Curry led all Warriors scorers with a game-high 38 points on 12-of-22 shooting, including eight treys. His 17 points in the third quarter was the most points scored by a Grizzlies opponent in a single quarter. Klay Thompson contributed 28 points on 10-of-17 shooting. The "Splash Brothers," Curry and Thompson, together combined for 66 points, including 42 from beyond the arc on 14-of-21 shooting.

Mike Conley came out of the gate scoring all 16 of his points in the first half. He shot 7-of-13 from the field, dished three assists and swiped three steals. Jeff Green led the second unit with 16 points on 7-of-12 FG and grabbed eight rebounds.

Although Golden State dealt the loss, Memphis outshot the Warriors .447 to .433 from the field and outscored them in the paint 42-36. The Warriors scored 28 fast break points throughout the game, recording the most break away points scored by a Grizzlies opponent.

Memphis will tip-off again Sunday, March 29 against the San Antonio Spurs in the last of their meetings in the 2014-15 regular season. The Grizzlies lead the season series 2-1.
