Grizzlies slam Thunder on Wrestling Night

Along with a sell-out crowd for FedExForum's "Wrestling Night," Zach Randolph's 12th straight double-double lead the Grizzlies to a 85-74 victory against the Oklahoma City Thunder Saturday night in the ninth sellout of the season at FedExForum.

Randolph led all scorers with 21 points, 18 rebounds and three assists in 37 minutes of play. Randolph currently holds the longest double-double streak by an NBA player this season and is only two shy of tying a career-best streak of 14 straight double-doubles, set in January 2011.

Marc Gasol also double-doubled, contributed 15 points, grabbed 12 rebounds and dished out a team-high five assists. Gasol also posted a flawless performance from the free-throw line.

The Grizzlies held Oklahoma City to .346 FG on 27-of-78 shooting, while Memphis shot .370 on 34-of-92 field goal attempts. The Grizzlies are now 27-1 when outshooting their opponents. Memphis dominated in the paint, outshooting the Thunder 44-22 down low.

Kevin Durant led the Thunder with 15 points, seven rebounds and four assists. Durant missed all five of his shots from beyond the arc. Russell Westbrook added 14 points, six rebounds and team-high five assists.

Memphis will tip-off a three-game road trip tomorrow, meeting the Phoenix Suns on Monday, Feb. 2 for their first matchup.

  • With the score at 68-62 at the beginning of the fourth quarter, the Grizzlies went on a 11-2 run to extend their lead to 79-64 with 7:35 remaining in the matchup.
