Spurs push past Grizzlies, 103-89

The Spurs defeated the Grizzlies, 103-89, in San Antonio on Sunday and delivered Memphis their third straight loss. Zach Randolph finished with 20 points and 13 rebounds for his 35th double-double of the season. Jeff Green added 19 points.

San Antonio made first nine shots in the first quarter. The Spurs led by as many as 16 points and never looked back in the wire-to-wire win.

Memphis trailed by nine points at the break. Zach Randolph and Jeff Green shot 11-of-19 at the half while the rest of the team only 6-of-23.

The Grizzlies rallied in the third quarter, outscoring the Spurs 24-19. Memphis continued to battle early in the fourth quarter but it wasn't enough to stop the Spurs who outscored the Grizzlies by 10 in the fourth quarter.

Kawhi Leonard scored first 15 points in fourth quarter for Spurs. Leonard led all scorers with 25 points and 10 rebounds. Tony Parker added 17 points.

Tony Allen did not play due to a strained hamstring.

With tonight's loss, Memphis fell to third in the Western Conference and second in the Southwest Division standings. The Spurs remain sixth in the Western Conference

The Grizzlies will look to get back to their winning ways on Monday against the Sacramento Kings at FedExForum. Tipoff is 7pm.
