Grizzlies slip to Clippers in LA, 94-86

The short-handed Grizzlies fought hard at both ends of the court but fell to the Clippers, 94-86 in Los Angeles. Zach Randolph led the Grizzlies with 21 points and 13 rebounds in 39 minutes of play.

The Grizzlies played without Mike Conley (Right foot sprain), Jeff Green (Low back tightness), and Tony Allen (Left hamstring strain). Marc Gasol left the game with an ankle sprain ten minutes into the first quarter and did not return to the game.

The Grizzlies, Clippers and Spurs are now tied in the Western Conference at 54-26 behind the Golden State Warriors.

Chris Paul led the Clippers with 15 points and 13 rebounds.

"Our guys played their tails off and I couldn't be more proud of them", said Grizzlies Head Coach David Joerger.

Memphis will play Golden State in their final road game of the regular season on Monday at 9:30pm on SportSouth.
