On the win:
Obviously it was important for us to get off the losing streak. If you’re battling down the stretch, you don’t want four or five-game losing streaks. I thought our defense was solid in the early part of the game, and when we came out in the third quarter, I thought we did a nice job coming out with the same intensity and that allowed us to improve the lead. We outscored them by eight and that kind of set the tone for us to have a night like we had, where Marc (Gasol) can go out of the game and not have to come back. In the fourth quarter, I just didn’t want to take any chances. We worked too hard and they had too much firepower. He put his guys back in and I wasn’t just going to keep playing without my guys in the game and let them have a chance to get close.

On the maturity of the team:
We haven’t really had an issue with that. When we come out and play, we come out and play. I am pleased when we rise maturity-wise and take it to another level but this is another level we have to go to as far as executing offensively, making less mistakes defensively and rebounding the ball. The things that show up every night. But I’m pleased with where we are.

On if it is personal playing against 2011 All-Stars:
It is definitely a little personal, but I take it personally every time I step on the court. I try to play the same night-in and night-out and stay consistent.

On defending Blake Griffin:
I wanted to try to keep my body on him so that he wouldn’t have too many dunks and start a breakout game. I thought I did a good job tonight. It is a point of pride. I have been taking pride in my defense this year. I have been working. I was on Griffin tonight and he had a rough game, but he is a great young player.

On the Win:
It was an important game for us. We came out with a lot of energy. We had lost two in a row and we came out focused tonight. We did what we had to do. We took care of our business on the defensive end.
