Grizzlies and ACH Food Companies, Inc. team up for Canned Food Drive at FedExForum on Saturday, April 14

Memphis, April 10, 2012 – The Memphis Grizzlies and ACH Food Companies, Inc. are teaming up for the Grizzlies Canned Food Drive to benefit the Mid-South Food Bank during the Kroger Cares game as the team takes on the Utah Jazz on Saturday, April 14.

All canned food items will be accepted at FedExForum and will be donated to the Mid-South Food Bank. Fans making a nonperishable food or cash donation will receive a “buy-one-get-one” ticket voucher to their choice of either the Grizzlies’ contest against the New Orleans Hornets on April 18 or the Cleveland Cavaliers on April 23, courtesy of ACH Food Companies.

Fans who want to attend the game and donate to the Mid-South Food Bank should arrive early and take advantage of what is sure to be an exciting night at FedExForum. The first 5,000 fans who arrive will receive a Grizzlies Team Card Set, courtesy of Mercury Printing.  As part of Kroger Cares Night, fans can get four tickets and a $20 Kroger Gift Card, starting at just $48.

The Mid-South Food Bank serves charitable agencies that feed hungry and needy people in West Tennessee, East Arkansas and North Mississippi. Founded in 1981 as the only organization in the region to supply food to all qualified charitable organizations, the Mid-South Food Bank supplies millions of pounds of food to emergency food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, youth and senior programs, daycares and rehabilitation programs.
