Tony Allen to partner with City Gear and distribute 100 jackets to Memphis-area youth on Tuesday

Memphis, February 6, 2012 – Memphis Grizzlies’ guard Tony Allen will partner with City Gear to distribute 100 jackets to Memphis-area youth on Tuesday, February 7 at Goodwill Boys & Girls Club from 4:30 – 5:30 p.m. In addition to the jacket distribution, Allen will speak to the group of young men about setting goals, his personal challenges that he overcame and how he accomplished his goal of playing in the NBA.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Memphis (BGCM) is about creating opportunities for children through after-school education. They serve more than 7,000 youth between the ages of 6 and 18 each year by providing fun experiences and critical guidance kids need to build bright futures. Through a variety of academic and recreational programs, BGCM empowers members to make productive use of their time and wise decisions in their lives.
