Memphis, January 26, 2012 – The Memphis Grizzlies are doing their part to support Sickle Cell patients in need, as Mike Conley, Quincy Pondexter and Dante Cunningham will host a Lifeblood Blood Drive on Sunday, January 29 from 3 - 4 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall of Mississippi Boulevard Christian Church. The players will be on-hand to sign autographs and take pictures with donors.
“Supporting the sickle cell patients in our community is a cause that is very close to my heart,” said Grizzlies’ Guard Mike Conley. “With my two cousins and many Memphians affected by the disease, it is a cause that I am proud to lend my time and name to.”
“We are thrilled to partner with the Memphis Grizzlies and Mississippi Boulevard to close out National Volunteer Blood Donor Month,” said Pat Carter, Lifeblood’s Board Chairman. “Both organizations are strong advocates for blood donation and the Memphis community.”
