Lady Bears serve Thanksgiving dinner
On Sunday, November, 20, the Memphis Grizzlies Lady Bears, served a hot Thanksgiving dinner to the women and children at The Salvation Army Purdue Center of Hope, a homeless shelter for women and children. The Lady Bears are a charitable group of the Memphis Grizzlies whose members are comprised of the women who play a significant role in the lives of Grizzlies coaches and basketball operations staff.
In attendance were Angie Hollins and Jackie Hollins (wife and daughter of Grizzlies Head Coach Lionel Hollins), Debby and Chris Wallace (Grizzlies General Manager), Kara and David Joerger (Grizzlies Assistant Coach), Susan and Drew Graham (Grizzlies Athletic Trainer), Kim and Elliot Perry (Grizzlies Minority Owner), Kelly Lambert (Grizzlies Strength and Conditioning Coach), Barbara Poier and many more.
This marks the third-straight year the Lady Bears have provided Thanksgiving dinners for the women and children at the Salvation Army. After the dinner, the Lady Bears distributed backpacks, hats, gloves and books to the children at the shelter.
