MEMPHIS, August 31, 2012– The Grizzlies are set to hit Memphis with their 2012 Round Town Tour. The tour will take place throughout Memphis and the Mid-South during the entire month of September at block parties and festivals to get Grizz Nation excited about the upcoming season.
Grizzlies’ fans of all ages are invited to join Grizzlies players, coaches, the Claw Crew, Grizz, the Grizz Girls and Pete Pranica to tip-off the start of the season in a festive setting at block parties that will be held at a variety of Memphis locations. Grizzlies’ players and coaches in attendance will join right in the celebration with fans at each block party, allowing Grizzlies faithful to take photos and get autographs from their Grizzlies heroes.
The Round Town Tour Block Parties will be held at five different locations where fans can enjoy free refreshments from Pepsi and a limited amount of free pizza. Younger Grizzlies’ fans will also be able to enjoy inflatables, air brush tattoo artists, interactive games and balloon artists. There will also be opportunities to win gift certificates and merchandise from Block Party partner, City Gear. In case of inclement weather, the block parties will take place, but will only feature an autograph session with a Grizzlies player.
The Round Town Tour will also bring the Grizzlies brand of excitement to the Germantown, Cooper Young, Bartlett Festivals, Rock for Love and Dragon Boat Races, presented by Duncan Williams, with their interactive inflatable games and much more. All fans who sign up for Grizzlies E-News during the Round Town Tour will receive a free preseason ticket voucher and will be registered to receive news and information throughout the year.
