MEMPHIS, Tennessee— The Memphis Grizzlies are paying tribute to all the members of Grizz Nation with Fan Appreciation Night, presented by First Tennessee, at their final home game of the regular season against the Philadelphia 76ers, Saturday, April 10.
The Grizzlies will team with Spirit of Memphis to tip the evening off with the First Tennessee Fan Fest on the Outdoor Plaza of FedExForum from 5-7 p.m. The First Tennessee Fan Fest will include free Pepsi, Grizzlies inflatables, face painters, the chance to shoot hoops with the McDonald’s Claw Crew, balloon artists, live music entertainment, Grizz Girl autographs and the opportunity to win fantastic prizes. The First Tennessee Fan Fest is free to the public and is the culmination of a series of Spirit of Memphis pep rallies that have aimed to help citizens become ambassadors for the city of Memphis.
Once inside, the first 5,000 fans will receive free Zach Randolph t-shirts courtesy of First Tennessee. The Grizzlies will continue to pay tribute to their fans and the city of Memphis at halftime, as the world-renowned Beale Street Flippers are set to perform for the final time of the season. Fans in attendance will also have the chance to be randomly selected to win concourse and in-seat giveaway, courtesy of McDonald’s, Sonic Drive-Ins and Golf and Games Family Park.
After the Grizzlies finish off one of their most successful home records in franchise history against the Philadelphia 76ers, fans will get the chance to watch a sneak preview of the FOX Tennessee television special, Memphis Grizzlies: One Team, which will air on April 14. During the postgame activities fans can also take part in a postgame Airplane Toss Competition, presented by State Farm. The person who gets the paper airplane the closest to the target will win the opportunity to watch the Grizzlies at 2010 Summer League in Las Vegas and stay at the MGM Grand, courtesy of Gold Strike Casino Resort.
The highlight of the evening will be a time-honored Memphis Grizzlies tradition, when the team gives the jersey’s off their backs to a group of lucky fans. Each player will personally autograph the jersey for the winning fans as a show of their appreciation for their support during one of the most exciting and promising seasons in franchise history.
