MEMPHIS, March 2, 2011-The Grizzlies and ACH Food Companies, Inc. are teaming up for the Grizzlies Canned Food Drive to benefit the Mid-South Food Bank when the team plays host to the New Orleans Hornets on Friday, March 4 at 7 p.m.
All nonperishable food items will be accepted at FedExForum and donated to the Mid-South Food Bank. Fans making a canned food or cash donation will receive a "buy-one-get-one" ticket voucher to the Grizzlies contest against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday, March 7.
The Mid-South Food Bank serves charitable agencies that feed hungry and needy people in West Tennessee, East Arkansas and North Mississippi.
