Grizzlies announce 2011-12 television schedule

SportSouth to offer 64 regional telecasts of
team’s 66-game regular season schedule, all in HD

MEMPHIS, December 13, 2011 – The Grizzlies announced today that 64 of the Grizzlies’ 66 games during the 2011-12 regular season will be televised on SportSouth, the highest percentage of Grizzlies games in team history. For the second consecutive season, the complete schedule will be available in high definition (HD) and exclusively on SportSouth.

Grizz Nation can start reliving last season’s playoff run when SportSouth televises Memphis’ regular season opener, a postseason rematch against the San Antonio Spurs, at 7:30 p.m. CT on Monday, Dec. 26 at the AT&T Center. Fans will have the opportunity to follow the Grizzlies across the NBA landscape, as SportSouth will broadcast 32 of the team’s 33 road contests this season, including a New Year’s Day tilt against Derrick Rose and the Chicago Bulls and a matchup with Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers one week later on Sunday, Jan. 8.

Play-by-play broadcaster Pete Pranica returns for his sixth season as the television voice of the Grizzlies, joined once again by analysts Sean Tuohy and former Grizzlies point guard Brevin Knight. Rob Fischer enters his fifth season as the sideline reporter for all Grizzlies telecasts.

SportSouth will continue to provide expanded pre-game coverage on Grizzlies LIVE, presented by Chuck Hutton Toyota. Hosted on location, Grizzlies LIVE gives viewers a complete pre-game breakdown, including interviews, analysis and special features for all 64 telecasts.

As previously announced, Memphis will be featured on national television a franchise-record 10 times this season, including two nationally-televised tilts on TNT on Thursday, Jan. 12 vs. New York on and Thursday, Jan. 26 at LA Clippers.
