MEMPHIS, December 3, 2012 —The Memphis Grizzlies are not only giving the gift of basketball to the Mid-South this Holiday Season but are doing their part to help make the holidays more joyful for those in need by hosting their Annual Holiday Toy Drive, presented by Sonic Drive-Ins, that benefits Toys for Tots and Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital on Tuesday, Dec. 18 from 6-8 p.m. at the Hilton Memphis.
As part of the Season of Giving, the entire Grizzlies team of players and coaches will be playing the role of Santa at the event that encourages fans to donate new, unwrapped gifts to help make every child’s holiday dreams come true. The new, unwrapped gifts that are collected will be donated to Toys for Tots and Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital.
The first 800 fans that are generous enough to contribute to the Memphis Grizzlies Holiday Toy Drive will have the opportunity to meet and receive autographs from Grizzlies players and coaches. They will also receive a buy one get one ticket voucher for the Dec. 19 match-up against the Milwaukee Bucks. Everyone else in attendance will get to enjoy a festive holiday setting that will include music, prize giveaways and a chance to take a picture with Santa Grizz, the Grizz Girls and the Claw Crew.
