10th Season Round Town Tour set to hit Memphis
MEMPHIS, August 23, 2010 - The Memphis Grizzlies are inviting fans to get together for the 10th Season Round Town Tour. The 10th Season Round Town Tour will take place throughout Memphis during the entire month of September at Block Parties sponsored by Golf and Games Family Park and festivals to get Grizz Nation excited about the upcoming 2010-11 season, presented by Pepsi.
Grizzlies fans of all ages are invited to join Grizzlies players, coaches, executives, Grizz and the Grizz Girls tip-off the start of the season in a festive setting at Block Parties that will be held at a variety of Memphis locations. Grizzlies players and coaches in attendance will join right in the celebration with fans at each Block Party, allowing Grizzlies faithful to take photos and get autographs from their Grizzlies heroes.
The Grizzlies will be pulling out all the stops at these Block Parties with
live entertainment from four of the most popular local bands in Memphis, including
Speakerboxx (Cordova-9/2), A 440 (Frayser-9/7, Whitehaven-9/14), Kaleidoscope
(Olive Branch-9/9) and King Ellis, Kia Johnson and Lil Chris (Binghampton-9/21).
Younger Grizzlies fans will also be able to enjoy inflatables, air brush tattoo
artists, interactive games and balloon artists. The Grizzlies new Healthy
Home Court initiative presented by Kellogg's will also have a presence at the Block Parties, with different
fitness activities for fans to partake in.
The 10th Season Round Town Tour Block Parties will be held at six different
locations where fans can enjoy free refreshments from Pepsi and a limited amount
of free pizza. In case of inclement weather, the Block Parties will take place,
but will only feature an autograph session with a Grizzlies player.
The 10th Season Round Town Tour will also bring the Grizzlies brand of excitement
to the Germantown, Cooper Young and Bartlett Festivals with their interactive
inflatable games and much more. Grizzlies players attendance at the festivals
is tentative. All fans who sign up for Grizzlies E-News during the 10th Season
Round Town Tour will receive a free preseason ticket voucher and will be registered
to receive Grizzlies information throughout the year.
