MEMPHIS, February 1, 2013— The Memphis Grizzlies announced today that the Fourth Annual Grizz Gala, presented by Gold Strike Casino Resort and SunTrust, which will be held this Saturday, Feb. 2, is sold out for the second consecutive year. All proceeds from this event benefit Memphis Grizzlies House at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®.
The blue tie affair will give fans a chance to take part in an evening that brings the class and excitement that the Memphis Grizzlies represent on the court and in the community. Gold Strike Casino Resort’s world-class culinary team will prepare a delectable menu of heavy hors d’oeuvres for attendees to enjoy. Throughout the evening an open bar will be available to guests who will also have an opportunity to meet and participate in interactive games with theentire Grizzlies team of players and coaches.
Grizz Gala guests will also have the opportunity to take part in a live and silent auction with one of the most impressive collections of sports memorabilia and one-of-a-kind fan experiences in Grizzlies fundraising history. Proceeds from the Grizz Gala will support Memphis Grizzlies House located on the campus of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®.
Opened in 2004, Memphis Grizzlies House is a short-term housing facility located on the campus of St. Jude. Memphis Grizzlies House can accommodate up to 100 St. Jude families and features an enclosed playground, fitness room and basketball court.
