Memphis, October 22, 2008 – The Memphis Grizzlies and Fox Sports Tennessee will broadcast 10 Grizzlies games in high-definition television to fans across the Mid-South for the 2008-09 NBA season. The first HD telecast is scheduled for the Grizzlies home opener on Friday, Oct. 31, when Memphis hosts the Orlando Magic at 7 p.m. CT.
Fox Sports Tennessee’s HD telecasts of Grizzlies games will be made available to all cable and satellite service providers throughout the Grizzlies television territory (state of Tennessee and parts of Mississippi and Alabama). Viewers should check their check with their cable/satellite provider for HD channel numbers and availability in their area.
During the 2008-09 season, Fox Sports Tennessee will televise 52 Grizzlies games with an additional 18 games scheduled to air on its sister network SportSouth. Complementing live game telecasts, Grizzlies LIVE pre-game coverage, hosted by Fox Sports Tennessee play-by-play announcer Pete Pranica and analyst Sean Tuohy, will precede all 70 game telecasts and feature game analysis and interviews.
