Brian Cardinal Undergoes Left Knee Surgery

Forward Out Remainder Of Season

Memphis, Tennessee - February 27, 2007 - Memphis Grizzlies forward Brian Cardinal underwent arthroscopic surgery today on his left knee for problems related to a chronic knee condition. The surgery was performed by team orthopaedic physician Dr. Fred Azar at the Campbell Clinic.

Cardinal will be out the remainder of the season, and upon recovery, will begin rehabilitation with the Grizzlies athletic training staff.
